As I came into polygamy I was comfortable only because i knew the other woman that my husband was married too, so it was easier for me to except. I think that this gives u a easy to know who your family will be even if you are not ready to except that Allah made it permissible for a man to have more than one wife.

I realize that a co wife bond can become naturally and sharing things(beside the husband lol) brings you closer.... I must admit that myself and one of my co wives did not get along at the beginning but after a while of us doing dinners together and even being stuck with one another during a storm it soften our relationship and we began to be close.  I realize its was not because we was both strong willed woman i realize it was the time we spent together doing things.

The day was nice and I had plans with my husband to go out to the movies during the day because i knew he had plans with my cowife to hang out that night even though this was my night. My husband and I discussed this and i was a little upset that he still wanted to go out with my cowife even after knowing my discomfort so we argued a little and i refused out date day and stay home. As i began to relax and clean up still knowing my husband wouldn't be home until late i began to start feeling better. I got dressed and went out shopping while out my cowife called asked what i was doing and wanted to me up with me i said ok we met for coffee and spoke about how i was feeling. A little while later i stop at the bank and she waited for me when i walked out the bank she handed me some flowers and a balloon i laughed. Then we jumped into a cab and went down town manhattan to the movies so unplanned so i thought. Walked into the movie drumline it just started and who was sitting there our husband to greet us, she left he apologized and out date was a beautiful one and at the end of the night he came home at a decent time for at least dessert with me. I really loved my sister wife for that.

It was late one November evening when I had my 1st assurah with my husband and my two co-wives at this time my husband had two muslim wives and one non muslim wife. The reason for the assurah was because myself and my non muslim coco had a disagreement that could of lead to a physical altercation. This was where I learnt that a muslim blood is sacred and even though she was not muslim as of yet i still had to be an example of piety.....

It was 11 years when I first met my 1st co wife and before i met her in person it was over the phone i wasn't her co wife as of yet but i called to introduce myself to her( I was a new shahadah at the time) I said Mysalam she said it back i told her who i was and she said ok and hung up. I had to call her back and we made plans to meet at Masjid Taqwa and that was our first face to face contact.

Just a little more

Being Muslim is a great thing and being a co-wife is a good as well but what shock me was to find out that a non muslim a christian to be exact was practicing polygamy as well now i have only met one christian that practice this but i was surprise.

I am truly blogging about being a co wife because looking at some the media it gets a bad rap as if it is something that is forced upon women when in reality it is the woman choice even in the Moor men way of life.  The ppl they show most of the time is the extreme practices and i just want to shed some life in my opinion.

Co Wifing

I have been a Co wife off and on for the last 11 years. I realize if the situation is right sharing a husband can be beneficial and i rather like being a co-wife it has only been twice when it was difficult but i realize it was due to immaturity and the man in the situation.
